About this program:
Here at SOLEX College, we value our students. Our diverse population of international students has a variety of goals and motivations for studying English, so we have created programs to meet all of these needs. We offer three different programs within our ESL department: 1. Our regular Intensive English Program is a great mix of academic and functional English and is perfect for those students who want to get the highest quality of study in 18 hours per week. 2. Our Intensive English Program Plus gives students the opportunity to study in the classroom for 24 hours per week, expanding their learning to include more practice with conversational English, pronunciation, and cultural trips to Chicago sites. 3. Advanced Studies program for students who are interested in expanding their knowledge of English to the highest level possible. Students in this program will study great writers of this country in American Literature, write academic papers in Academic Writing, and learn about American history and culture in American Studies. Also included in the Advanced Studies program is our TOEFL Preparation course, a comprehensive and intensive preparation for the TOEFL exam, taught by quality instructors who will get you ready for university studies.

Our Location

SOLEX College offers three convenient locations: one in the northwest suburbs in Wheeling, one on the north side of Chicago at Belmont Avenue, and one in the heart of Chicago’s Loop. One of the world’s greatest cities, Chicago is full of history, culture and diversity. The area offers metropolitan excitement and classic Midwestern values. Chicagoland presents the ideal combination of lifestyle, recreation and opportunity. Even better, it boasts a coast of living that, dollar-to-dollar, is nearly impossible for many other metropolitan areas to beat.
