What CIE Oxford is all about

During the academic year, our class size usually contains no more than 8 students—often half the size of groups at most other schools. Your skills will improve quickly in our small classes.

CIE's Bocardo House is in the centre of Oxford, opposite the world-famous Oxford Union. Our busy summer school is also held in city centre facilities, such as Oxford University's Lady Margaret Hall, near the University Parks.

CIE's close family atmosphere throughout the academic year helps to make intensive study easier and much more pleasant. From our reception staff, to our teachers, to our principal, everyone will know your name. Long-term students are assigned a personal tutor to monitor your progress and answer any questions you may have.

Student Feedback:
Yi (China) – “I’ve been at CIE for 2 weeks.
Both teachers and students here are very nice.
I love the way the teachers teach and the
atmosphere in class. CIE is like a big family.
I love CIE very much”.

Lourdes (Spain) – “CIE is a very friendly school
but serious. I learned a lot of English in a
short period of time. Thank you teachers,
I am going back to Spain very happy”.

Bruna (Brazil) – “I’ve been studying at CIE for
8 months, since then I’ve improved my English
a lot. What I really like about CIE are the
excellent teachers with their particular way of
teaching. I’ve made many friends here and
also learnt a bit about their cultures.
Definitely this time at CIE has been a great
experience in my life”.
Rosario (Italy) – “Our times at CIE were very
exciting, I remember the moments with our
teachers and friends, when we played ping
pong and when we watched a movie
completely in English, I remember all the
times spent at CIE and I think that if I could
return I would not think twice about it. I
want to say goodbye all the teachers that
helped me to improve my English. Bye bye”.
