Uma Estratégia de Internacionalização foi implementada em 2007. Desde então, a Universidade tem reforçado a sua reputação de Universidade Europeia do Reino Unido e enriquecido a sua rede de parceiros internacionais ao redor do mundo, incluindo aqueles com instituições acadêmicas de prestígio nos EUA, Malásia, China, Hong Kong e Japão.

Os estudantes da Kent estão constantemente realizando atividades acadêmicas e estágios em outros países da Europa, Ásia, África, Oriente Médio e América do Norte e do Sul.

Em 2010 a Kent conquistou o apoio da Comissão Europeia de Fundos para o seu prestigioso e altamente competitivo esquema Erasmus Mundus de Doutorado Conjunto. A Universidade de Kent é membro integrante do Projeto LiSUM (Linking Sino-European Universities through Mobility) que promove o enriquecimento e entendimento mútuo entre Instituições de Educação Superior na China e na Europa. A Universidade de Kent possui 5 campi: um em Canterbury, um em Medway , no Reino Unido; um em Bruxelas, na Bélgica; e um campus em Paris, na França.

Canterbury
O campus Canterbury, construído em 300 alqueires de verde, está a apenas 30 minutos a pé do centro de Canterbury. Canterbury foi classificada como a mais segura universidade da Inglaterra pelo Guia Completo de Universidades de 2009. O campus tem cerca de 14.000 estudantes incluindo estudantes de graduação e pós graduação.

Medway
A universidade construiu um novo campus multimilionário em Medway com edifícios e instalações magníficos. A Biblioteca Drill Hall, o edifício Medway e o edifício Pilkington ganharam prêmios de prestígio tanto pelo projeto quanto pela excelente contribuição dada à regeneração da região de Medway.

Bruxelas

O campus está próximo a duas das universidades parceiras da Kent: a Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) e a Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Esse campus foi totalmente projetado e conta com bibliotecas, computadores públicos, bares, cafés e centros esportivos.

Paris
O centro da universidade em Paris está situado no Reid Hall em Montparnasse. O campus fica a apenas alguns minutes a pé dos jardins de Luxemburgo. O centro oferece programas de pós graduação de um ano baseados tanto na França como na Inglaterra.
