About this program: Established in Italy in 1954, Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) is the first Italian School of Visual and Industrial Design. SPD trained thousands of designers and professionals coming from more than 40 different countries. In fact the school is very well known all over the world. Several important designers like Marco Bonetto, Piero Lissoni, Denis Santachiara, Patricia Viel, Simone Micheli, Stefano Giovannoni teach and make lectures in SPD. SPD has received several important recognitions like Compasso d'Oro Award, Medaglia d'oro at the 10th International Triennale Exhibition in Milan, Civic Diploma of Merit from the City of Milan and a lot of others. Scuola Politecnica di Design has also strong collaborations with big enterprises: Microsoft, Ikea, Audi, Nava Design, Natuzzi, Heineken, Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Adidas and many others. It is essential, for SPD, to offer a complete and very high qualified preparation to students and a direct contact with enterprises and design world. Furthermore, SPD Master programs are accredited through the partnership with IULM university, and award University Master’s degrees with 60 ECTS credits. The school offers post-graduate courses and Masters: - One Year Courses in Product, Visual and Car design tools, aimed to students holding a bachelor not strictly relevant to design - Master courses in Interior, Industrial, Car design - Master courses in Visual and Web and Multimedia design - Dual Specialization Master course in Interior + Industrial design - Dual Specialization master course in Visual + Web design All Master courses (excepted for car design, which is held in strict collaboration with Volkswagen group) include a final three-month internship in design studios and companies.
